Can you share a couple of fond memories of your time at St Cuthbert's?
The cheese and piccalilli sandwich wrapped in cling film we hid in one of the lockers, each week we monitored the development of mould eventually someone unwrapped it and we ran a mile as the stench permeated through the lower corridor. The school cross country and looking back at the carnage of 1st and 2nd year pupils trampled under foot by the skinhead element of the 4th year. Being sent out of RE as i slowly lost my faith and questioned everything and voiced my opinions a little too much.
Did you have a favourite/influential teacher? What made them so important to you?
Mr Gannon art teacher, allowed me to take an idea and run with it. Mr Wood technical drawing teacher and my form master in 3W who sadly passed away during my 3rd year.
What advice would you give our current students?
Study hard, its a tough life out there and if someone has a choice of 20 people they will always look for the ones with the best qualifications.
