What job/study are you doing right now and tell us a little about it?
I am the owner of a small business called Eternal Marketing and ran it for the last five years. We provide digital marketing services for small and medium businesses, especially in the town of Urmston, Manchester where I now live.
Did you do any further/higher education?
Diploma in Direct Marketing, PRINCE 2 Practitioner, Agile Scrum Master
How did you decide on your career path and what is/was most interesting about your work?
I kind of fell into it after working in IT Management in Financial Services for 15 years, the credit crunch bit and I was left without a job. I went for 7 years into mobile telecoms but sold that business as the margins were falling. The most interesting part of my business are my customers - I will never go hungry as I have over 30 restaurant or take-aways as customer and I have customers in Australia, Barbados, Florida, DCR Congo, Kenya and Nigeria.
Can you share a couple of fond memories of your time at St Cuthbert's?
Cross Country running over the Bonk! (not) - just great memories of times with old friends I miss dearly.
Did you have a favourite/influential teacher? What made them so important to you?
Mr & Mrs Oldfield and Mr McQuillian - they got me into Science and Computing.
What advice would you give our current students?
Don't be afraid to be the geek or the uncool one at school; I was. I see many ex-pupils who were the cool ones etc who have not achieved as much as I have. I have toured most of the USA and Caribbean and have a wonderful wife and family.
