What job/study are you doing right now and tell us a little about it?
I’m an Paediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner. I work at Alder Hey supporting children that don’t manage to wean from a ventilator. My role also is with The WellChild charity got sick children.
Did you do any further/higher education?
I have completed my masters in paediatric advanced nurse practice in children’s intensive care.
How did you decide on your career path and what is/was most interesting about your work?
Always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I also loved looking after children. Some work experience and I had decided. I love my job. I hate the politics and red tape but love working and caring for people.
Can you share a couple of fond memories of your time at St Cuthbert's?
My friends once I had settled was the best part. Plus the ring donuts at lunch time yum.
Did you have a favourite/influential teacher? What made them so important to you?
Mr Wells, would never have passed my English if it wasn’t for his extra classes and support.
What advice would you give our current students?
Never give up.
