GCSE Results Day 2018 - We are celebrating!

GCSE Results Day 2018 - We are celebrating!

When young people and their families work alongside school, great achievements can happen, and this has certainly been the case for many of our students at St Cuthbert’s.

2018 has possibly been the most difficult year for GCSE students and their teachers, in terms of the challenges of the new examinations and the new gradings and therefore we are delighted that a number of our students have achieved top grades across a range of subjects.

Improvements have been made in Languages, Health & Social Care and Science and the number of students entered for an achieving the EBACC suite of qualifications has increased.

Mrs Twist, Headteacher said “At St Cuthbert’s we are acutely aware that there are still improvements to be made across the board but today is about celebrating our young people and the fact that regardless of the numerical grading, we are skilling them up and giving them opportunities at colleges and work to live life in all its fullness”.
